Hey, News!

So I had carrots at church today. This must be distinctly understood, or nothing wonderful can come of the news I am about to relate (10 points to the person who knows where I stole that sentence). I was thinking of waiting till February to be officially "out" but, you know, the carrots gave everything away at church today. Plus, most of you guys who read my blog and Nels have known for awhile.
No, it's not a stomach disorder, it's a baby!
In a nutshell on pregnancy thus far: no, I'm not sick, I don't have a gender preference, and yes, I have names picked out. I'm forming relationships with these names, so hopefully Nels is okay with them by the time we have the kid. I'm still in a flexible stage; I haven't started calling my belly nicknames or anything. He's got time to veto.
I've had it pretty easy, but the toughest part is coming up with various ways to say, "I'm pregnant". Here is a list, granted a very short one:
  • Having a baby
  • I'm going to be a mom
  • Nels is going to be a dad
  • Bun in the oven
  • Producing offspring
  • Got a thing in there
  • Getting fatter, but with an eternal purpose
  • I love cheese so much right now, and salty meats
  • I cried in Home Alone (but nobody saw)
  • Laundry smells delicious
  • and just because I'm all of a sudden a little bit unreasonable, doesn't mean you can laugh at me
Good list? I'd like to hear more, because I find this one a little weak still.
Also some news of less exciting note, we moved! Two blocks away from where we were before. This of course is not the exciting news yet. That would be, that we got a washer and dryer! Two new members of the family. I'll include a family picture soon, but it'll be hard to get the car-members of the family with the laundry appliance members of the family. Maybe I'll photo shop them in.
I did laundry all day yesterday without leaving my apartment. Pure bliss. You ladies know what I'm talking about. And we got the pair for $50. I'm hoping the novelty stays with me for at least another month, but I can already feel it slipping...
That pretty much covers all the big stuff. It's definitely happenin' at the Brobergs.
